Inaka Japanese Restaurant @ Pulau Tikus, Penang

Recently I had the "chance" to celebrate my graduation (sort of...) here...

and this happens a day before my exam for Marketing Management :P (damn "tough" right..)

To start off, Inaka is a Japanese restaurant which is located in Pulau Tikus, right beside the blue building (SOCSO office). You wouldn't miss it if you come from IPG college.

This restaurant has a very nice ambience, but too bad I forgot to take a pic of it. :P And their buffet menu is almost like Tao's concept where you place an order for them instead of the traditional buffet way.

They have quite a variety of food IMO, but too bad I heard this buffet will be on until mid-Oct (maybe today? -_-).

and lots more..... also, this applies as well...

I'll have the pictures do the talking..

These tempura prawns are impressive, unlike Tao, there's no fried veges that comes with it :P

Sashimi~~~ These are great! And they are so delicious! We missed out sake (RM13 per bottle) to go with them as quoted by the lady there...

I didn't like their miso soup, nothing fancy about it and neither does it taste as good as Sushi king's miso soup...

I loved these cawanmushi (steamed egg), they have few flavours for this, you can go with fish roe, crabsticks, etc) And if you doesn't fancy thick egg smell in them, these are the ones you should try! :D

Salmon fish... nothing fancy..

Scallop in many flavours... :D Spot the greenish one? Those were wasabi-flavoured ones! :D

Tori Karege~ (The tomyam popcorn were also like this..)

Unagyi ... I don't know why they spelled them like this but isn't this ridiculous? A big bowl of rice with only 2 pieces of fish meat? :P

Take note of their noodles, it's quite big seriously.. :P And this kara ramen is seriously HOT & Spicy.. argh..

Sherine's favourite :P LOL, butter fish baby~ :P

And here's my favourite...

oops... haha

Sorry, here you go~~

They are so uber yummy! And no heavy beef smell as well.. meat are so tender and soft~~ YUMMY!!!!!! :D

And last both not least, how can they be complete without Temaki baby! :P

Overall, I think they are not so bad in terms of their pricing RM48++ per head (plus tax is RM52.80). Do try them out when you had the chance yea.

BTW, they also do have free flow of Ice creams (my fav Green Tea & Chocolate!) and also free flow of fruits (they have dragonfruit & mango too!) Talk about impressive.. how can you not try them out? :D

Yum Yum Poh Piah @ Asas Supermarket Area (BM)

I always tell myself I need to save $$$$. But when it comes to food.. I totally lost myself to it. Gah!! So here I present myself an alternative favorite food of mine before I went on and splurge onto my Korean-craving tummy.

See how delicious the Poh Piah were? :P

This particular coffee shop located at a very "out-of-the-way" place. To those who are staying in BM might be a little more familiarized with it.

Remember we had a hypermarket called "ASAS" which located around Sri Kijang (BM) area? The supermarket does not exist anymore but this little coffee shop is still there since then. :) Tough little one, arent they?

The coffee shop is actually located beside the nasi kandar stall (which is not facing the main road)... So, expect some search around there people! :P

The coffee shop might not look interesting at first sight, I tell you. I almost step out of the coffee shop when I didn't locate my mom's favourite "Poh Piah" which was standing at the little corner beside the fridge....

Do they actually appeal to you (see above) ???? Seriously, if I were new there, I would not even try them. -_-"

This popiah stall is actually operated by the shop owner itself (who also sells the drinks there).

*Milo Ais*

* Watermelon juice with Heineken? :P *

Look how delicious these were! There are two versions, one is the fry type, while the other is the normal type (non-fried).

I love them both! Delicious okay! :P

So crispy!! And the poh piah skin is not the thick thick type too! They are quite generous in their "Bang Kuang" whereas some stalls that I encounter wrap very little of it.... So juicy, can! :D

The other food that I like from there is their Wan Tan Mee. Well, don't expect it to be "awwwwwwwwwwsome" since I'm not an expert in Wan Tan Mee. :P But it is nice based on my taste bud though...

The mee is springy and "QQ" :P (Can't think of the word to describe this... ).

Other than that, their "Fried Tua Pan aka Ying yong" is also nice, Fried rice also nice. So if you have the chance to go there, do drop by hor! :P

Daorae, the Korean BBQ Restaurant, Bayan Lepas

OMG! I actually thought it was "DORAE" in short for do re mi fa so (in music terms). LOL!

Can you see the crowd? (asking as if you can really see thru the windows. :P ) I actually waited there for about half an hour to get in.

And the first thing I saw is this ...

*WTF this bloody thing hanging in front of me* LOL!

And everyone also has one. :P

This thing is actually used for sucking in the darn smoke (vacuum ?) from the barbecue stove. Anyway, not much help also, my tee oso smell like BBQ chicken when I got home. -_-"

Here's what I managed to get from their menu.
*Gulp, ribs ribs ribs!*

*Steamboat!*

*Kimchi! Ole ole! :P *

Beer for those > 18yrs old. LOL! (Just joking :P)

The first thing that comes to us was the salted vege soup!

And here comes the basic dishes that normally served to every customer. Small dishes of cold veges.

The bottle is their Korean tea I think. Tasted like some kind of agar-agar drink. -_-"

Spot the macaroni people! LOL!

I didn't know Korean food can go with macaroni.

Most of the items are served and prepared by the waiter. So, we can just sit there and relax.

Yum Yum..

The Chicken. Same process.

Err, this one I dunno call apa. But damn not nice. Like chewing those hard-core bubblegum. :P

Pancake. This one is yummy! :D Like Orr-chien (Oyster Omelet)

Some steam egg that is served to every table (complimentary).

And my fav, Kimchi soup! That comes with a bowl of rice! :D

Not too bad, but I prefer Korean Palace's one more. Less meat from Daorae.

Total bill is about RM150. Plus service charge 10%. No tax. You get the drift.
