Penang Yummy Food - Part I

I still remembered the day I discovered the most yummiest CCF (Chee Cheong Fun) when I was learning my Inter @ Ballet 2-3 years ago. It was the time when I told my parents not to wait for me since my class takes about 2 hours. Thanks to them, I found my CCF lover!

Here comes my CCF lover :P

Up close..

RM1.70 for my plate of CCF

Love love love!! The prawn paste is different from the usual prawn paste that we normally eat with laksa..

This is the people behind the famous CCF!!

They don't operate in a shop but they are located right outside this kopitiam.

Mind you, you have to go in the morning or else you won't be able to taste the fabby-yummy-CCF. :D

Other than that, there's another pushcart opposite the CCF who sells Char Koay Kak.. also not bad..

Another pic for justice :P

We have also tried the usual penang-style otak-otak (not "brain"food hor..) :P

Quite nice also. :D

And not to forget, my fav. beverage in the morning...

Kopi-O-Peng-GAO :D

If you have the chance, do buy me a packet of CCF too! Damn hungry now. >_<

Sakae Sushi On the Go!

Wow, so long time never updated my blog. Poor baby. *snortss* haha.

Here's where I've been to last week with my pesky colleague friends. :P

I only went about 2-3 times there. I totally failed them because they doesn't really taste like "JAPANESE food" seriously. It's like campur-aduk-kind-of sushi.. or maybe this only applies to their sushi.. hm..

But I like their tea, where we can refill on our own instead of waiting "crazily" for the waitresses. :)

Here's what I've tried during my recent visit again..

Looks from the menu.

I loved these, after a longgggg time friend of mine taught me how to eat them (thanks again if you are reading this :P), like mentos wor... but the beans really popped out like mentos. hahaha.

I don't really like these edamame here... it's cold and they should be served hot even on the kaiten belt. Sigh~

Next.. on the menu..

Cheeeeseee.. I'm obsessed. huhu.

de Real thing ....

Not too bad. But I feel it is not tasty enough, but not sure what's missing.. hm...

Next up..

I don't know what this is called... something maki.. hahaha..

And does anyone know what this is???

The middle stuff is kinda crunchy and tasted like chicken floss, but I'm not sure... I don't think it's friend onion. And Sakae sushi seems to put this in these sushi rolls, which makes it a little weird. It's like Chinese food + Japanese food = japchi sushi? hahaha. just kidding. :P

Here's the soft-shell crab temaki , not mine though...

And then unagi...

See the dark brown thing again???

Next is the Sushi-On-Fire! Or sushi volcano!! :D

Spot the fire?

I'm not sure what is on promotion with this, I think sakae sushi's member card promotion or something... hm...

Last but not least, my favourite of them alllllllllll...

Chicken on stick. hahaha. I seriously don't know what this is called, but it is nice! :)

Anyway, I don't really fancy much of Sakae Sushi, or maybe my taste bud changed already... hm... oh well, watever! :)

Inaka Japanese Restaurant @ Pulau Tikus, Penang

Recently I had the "chance" to celebrate my graduation (sort of...) here...

and this happens a day before my exam for Marketing Management :P (damn "tough" right..)

To start off, Inaka is a Japanese restaurant which is located in Pulau Tikus, right beside the blue building (SOCSO office). You wouldn't miss it if you come from IPG college.

This restaurant has a very nice ambience, but too bad I forgot to take a pic of it. :P And their buffet menu is almost like Tao's concept where you place an order for them instead of the traditional buffet way.

They have quite a variety of food IMO, but too bad I heard this buffet will be on until mid-Oct (maybe today? -_-).

and lots more..... also, this applies as well...

I'll have the pictures do the talking..

These tempura prawns are impressive, unlike Tao, there's no fried veges that comes with it :P

Sashimi~~~ These are great! And they are so delicious! We missed out sake (RM13 per bottle) to go with them as quoted by the lady there...

I didn't like their miso soup, nothing fancy about it and neither does it taste as good as Sushi king's miso soup...

I loved these cawanmushi (steamed egg), they have few flavours for this, you can go with fish roe, crabsticks, etc) And if you doesn't fancy thick egg smell in them, these are the ones you should try! :D

Salmon fish... nothing fancy..

Scallop in many flavours... :D Spot the greenish one? Those were wasabi-flavoured ones! :D

Tori Karege~ (The tomyam popcorn were also like this..)

Unagyi ... I don't know why they spelled them like this but isn't this ridiculous? A big bowl of rice with only 2 pieces of fish meat? :P

Take note of their noodles, it's quite big seriously.. :P And this kara ramen is seriously HOT & Spicy.. argh..

Sherine's favourite :P LOL, butter fish baby~ :P

And here's my favourite...

oops... haha

Sorry, here you go~~

They are so uber yummy! And no heavy beef smell as well.. meat are so tender and soft~~ YUMMY!!!!!! :D

And last both not least, how can they be complete without Temaki baby! :P

Overall, I think they are not so bad in terms of their pricing RM48++ per head (plus tax is RM52.80). Do try them out when you had the chance yea.

BTW, they also do have free flow of Ice creams (my fav Green Tea & Chocolate!) and also free flow of fruits (they have dragonfruit & mango too!) Talk about impressive.. how can you not try them out? :D
