My love for bak kut teh never dies. This shop has the best pork that I have ever had. Tender, soft, tasty, ahhhhh.. yummyyyyyyyy!!

My dad brought us to this bakkutteh shop last December. And my oh my, the crowd!! OMIGOD. Already 2.30pm the crowd is still.... crowdy.. lol.


But the serving was quite fast though!

The vege is very common. So there's nothing to shout about.

But the chicken leg.. speechless. I don't know why I order this at the first place.

Not nice. And it's cold. @_@

Oklah. Seriously, I loved the meat that they served! Very soft, chew-able and tasty! Unlike those meat that you'll need your gigi to work around the bones. :P This pork meat detached from the bone so easily that even toothless ahma&ahpek also can eat without straining their jaws. muahahaha.

As for the bak kut teh stew, this one is unbeatable la. The BM (Bukit Mertajam) Sentosa Bak kut teh can win over this anytime. LOL! But I still salute the restaurant owner! How can they make the meat so loving & tender! *squeals* I so miss them liao. Anyone can tapao for me please??????

Yee Hup Hiong Piah 余合香饼

If you are you fan of Hiong Piah(biscuit with sugar kind of filling) , then you should try Yee Hup Hiong Piah. So far they are the best that I've tried. =D

My uncle brought them to us when he was on his trip down to see his mother (my granny). Thank you uncle! =D


Other than the usual (Tiger head) brand of Hiong Piah (from Teluk Intan), this packaging is the most elegant one that I've seen!

BTW, if you intend to buy a lot from them, it is advisable to call them to place an order before you go. If you don't listen, you will definitely be disappointed. Coz' either you need to wait long long or you go back empty handed. =P

Chin Kang Hu Restaurant 真功夫美食館

It's in hokkien btw. =D how cute is that! The owner also uses a Bruce Lee (lookalike) figurine as an icon of their restaurant.

If you don't know the location, it's actually at a new taman near Guppy factory. Very easy to spot them from afar too!

During both of my visits, I ordered their "nameless chicken". In chinese is called 无名鸡 "wu ming ji". Steam rice with chicken in spicy sauce. Very fragrant! Tasted something like "nyonya" kind of sambal.

I ordered this chicken rice set which comes with a free soup and bean sprouts.

Not bad actually. Quite filling too! I just loved their curry for this one. :D

Next one is their dry kuey teow.

I actually also ordered them during my first visit.

It cant beat "7 long" kuey teow coz it's not their main thing. The main dishes that they serve most is their steam rice. Healthy and nutritious. =D I do sounds like their ambassador already! lol.

I also ordered their porridge for a try.

The porridge is quite smooth but the meat that they provide is quite less. But will not order this the next time I go there though. :P

Next up is my favorite! Loh Bak.

If I'm not mistaken, this dish cost RM3.

Yummy! A must try for this one.

Next up is their kerabu with ikan bilis. :D

Crunchy but I don't fancy sour food that much. So I can't comment too much on this.

And the last one is their boneless chicken meat.

This one disappointed me the most. I don't quite like the "flavouring" and I prefer it to be chicken thigh meat instead. But then again, kids might like this though.

Overall, it is pretty worth while to visit this restaurant if you don't want to pay a high price for food like those restaurants at Auto City. Portion and quality wise is quite good for me. By the way, they also do provide free delivery for orders above RM20! ;)

Carrot Cake Rocks My Tummy (and fat!!! -_-)

Carrot cake. Super yummy. You are looking at the top layer btw, it's the yummy cream cheese that comes with it. *faints*

The other day, my colleague brought cake to the office, and *damn* did we thought the cake was made by her. LOL!! It was awesome. So I asked her if she could order TWO cakes for us. One for mommy's friend and the other for mommy's piggy. :P

I remembered I used to order carrot cake when I was "kecil" (now I"m young okay) from Secret recipe. But they were damn expensive as it was a really small piece. Please don't ask me how this is compared to Secret Recipe because I stop eating them long time ago (coz they keep hiking their cakes every now and then!).

This carrot cake was filled with walnuts, raisins and loadss of carrots!! so good for the eye :P and skin (de nuts!!).

Just look at the cream cheese!!!

okay. maybe i'm just obsessed with the cream cheese only. but still, the crunchiness of the nuts and the filling is so yummy that I couldn't avoid the kaygees that i'm going to pile up for. >_<>

BTW, the auntie who made this doesn't have a store (yet!)so I guess there isn't a choice but to buy the whole cake instead of a piece. And do you know this is only RM20???

Okay, maybe i haven't bought any cakes for the past few years but then i think it is affordable since this superyummycanmakeyoufat would last me for the whole week! (coz no one at home can beat me to it :P *huhu JM in LYON :P*)

Penang Yummy Food - Part I

I still remembered the day I discovered the most yummiest CCF (Chee Cheong Fun) when I was learning my Inter @ Ballet 2-3 years ago. It was the time when I told my parents not to wait for me since my class takes about 2 hours. Thanks to them, I found my CCF lover!

Love love love!! The prawn paste is different from the usual prawn paste that we normally eat with laksa..

This is the people behind the famous CCF!!


They don't operate in a shop but they are located right outside this kopitiam.


Mind you, you have to go in the morning or else you won't be able to taste the fabby-yummy-CCF. :D

Other than that, there's another pushcart opposite the CCF who sells Char Koay Kak.. also not bad..
